Jan makes a welcome return to Florum this year after moving house. Her paintings are full of impact, but also delicacy, skilfully revealing the essential qualities of a plant. Always creative, she often employs mixed media in her paintings, including collage and gold leaf. Jan has won many awards, has exhibited and taught worldwide and is a member of the SBA and SFP.

Helen's landscape etchings have always included wild plants in their habitat. After selling her press, she spent several years in search of a new medium, eventually finding the happy combination of ink and coloured pencil. Her most recent work is reminiscent of etching and well-suited to the trees and plant forms that still inspire her. She is a member of the SBA and Florum's Administrator.

Tessa was a highly successful designer of hand-painted silks which sold all over the world. She now works mainly on paper, producing bold paintings and monoprints with elements of collage, woodblock and hand painting. Celebrated for her exceptional use of colour and voted Surrey Artist of the Year, Tessa loves inspirational gardens and now works full-time from her own garden studio.

Kate became interested in drawing and painting flowers in Oman. Back in the UK, she started with the SBA Diploma Course, then moved into oils and large-scale work. She loves chiaroscuro, allowing light and shade to portray the beauty of her subject. This aspect is also a feature of her printmaking. Kate's work has huge impact and is much appreciated by our visitors.
